WMRR Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) website, online services, events, resources, publications and other services provided by WMRR.
By accessing or using the WMRR website or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the website or relevant services.
In these Terms, “WMRR”, “we”, “us” or “our” means the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia. “You” or “your” means any person accessing or using the WMRR website or services.
1. Use of the WMRR Website
The WMRR website provides information about WMRR, its membership, events, advocacy, activities, resources and the sectors that we represent being waste, resource recovery and circular economy sectors.
You agree to use the website lawfully and responsibly. As such you must not:
- use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the website;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts, systems or data;
- introduce malicious software, viruses or other harmful material;
- use the website to infringe the rights of another person or organisation; or
- copy, reproduce or commercially exploit website content except as permitted by these Terms or with WMRR’s permission.
WMRR may restrict, suspend or terminate access to the website where reasonably necessary, including for security, maintenance or where these Terms have been breached.

5. WMRR Membership
Membership of WMRR is governed by the WMRR Membership Terms and Conditions, together with WMRR’s Constitution and applicable policies. The WMRR Membership Terms and Conditions apply to applications for and renewals of WMRR membership and set out matters including:
- membership eligibility;
- membership periods and fees;
- membership benefits;
- Affiliate Members and organisational representatives;
- renewal;
- member accounts;
- WMRR branding;
- suspension and cessation of membership; and
- membership-related privacy matters.

Where there is an inconsistency between these Terms and the WMRR Constitution, the Constitution will prevail. Where there is an inconsistency between these Terms and the WMRR Membership Terms and Conditions in relation to membership matters, the applicable membership terms and, where relevant, the Constitution will apply.
6. Events and Registrations
WMRR may provide conferences, events, training, webinars, meetings and other activities that require registration or payment. Additional terms may apply to individual events and will be provided during the registration process or in event information. WMRR may, where reasonably necessary:
- change the date, time, venue, format or speakers for an event;
- change or modify an event program;
- limit attendance;
- refuse or cancel a registration; or
- postpone or cancel an event.
Where an event is cancelled or materially changed, WMRR will communicate applicable options to registered participants, subject to any event-specific terms. Attendees must comply with reasonable venue, safety and conduct requirements. WMRR reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove a person from, an event where their conduct is unlawful, unsafe, inappropriate or disruptive.
7. Event Photography and Recording
WMRR or its appointed contractors may photograph, film or otherwise record WMRR events and activities.
Images, recordings or other event material may be used for purposes including:
- WMRR communications;
- publications and reports;
- promotional material;
- social media;
- websites; and
- reporting on WMRR activities.
Where appropriate, WMRR will provide notice regarding photography or recording at an event. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify the relevant WMRR representative or event organiser where reasonably practicable.
8. Online Accounts and Services
Some WMRR services may require you to create or access an online account. You are responsible for:
- keeping your login credentials secure;
- ensuring information associated with your account is accurate;
- not sharing your login credentials with unauthorised persons; and
- notifying WMRR if you suspect that your account has been accessed without authorisation.
You must not access or use another person’s account without permission. WMRR may suspend or disable an account where reasonably necessary for security, administration or where these Terms have been breached.
9. Payments and Online Transactions
Where WMRR offers memberships, event registrations, publications, products or other services for purchase online, the applicable price and payment requirements will be displayed during the relevant transaction. You are responsible for providing accurate payment and contact information. WMRR may correct pricing, availability or other errors where reasonably necessary and will contact you where an error materially affects your transaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

WMRR collects, uses, manages and discloses personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and WMRR’s Privacy Policy. 11. Website Availability and Security
WMRR takes reasonable steps to maintain the security and availability of its website and online services. However, WMRR does not guarantee that the website or online services will:
- always be available;
- operate without interruption;
- be free from errors or defects; or
- be completely secure from unauthorised access or cyber threats.
WMRR may temporarily suspend or restrict access to the website for maintenance, upgrades, security or other operational reasons.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia, to the extent applicable.
