Gayle Sloan
Chief Executive Officer
Gayle Sloan is Chief Executive Officer of WMRR and a passionate advocate for Australia’s waste and resource recovery sector. An Arts and Law graduate from the University of Adelaide, Gayle brings extensive experience across government, local government and industry, providing her with a deep understanding of the policy, regulatory and operational environments that shape the sector.
Gayle began her career with the NSW Attorney General’s Department before moving into the Attorney General’s and NSW Police Ministerial Offices. She subsequently held Director positions across several NSW councils, overseeing service delivery and assets, waste management contracts, and environmental and regulatory functions. In 2012, Gayle joined Visy Recycling before becoming Chief Executive Officer of WMRR in November 2016.
As CEO, Gayle is a strong national voice for the waste and resource recovery sector, working closely with WMRR members, industry leaders and governments to advance the sector and help shape the policy and regulatory settings that support Australia’s transition to a more circular economy.
Lisa Lepore
WMRR Manager, Policy and Governance, and Secretariat
Lisa Lepore supports WMRR’s policy, governance and secretariat functions, bringing a professional background spanning law, media and communications.
Working closely with WMRR’s leadership, Board, branches and working groups, Lisa supports the Association’s governance processes and policy activities, helping coordinate industry engagement and ensure the effective delivery of WMRR’s advocacy and organisational priorities.

Justine Foster
WMRR Manager, Events
Justine Foster leads WMRR’s national events program, bringing extensive experience across events, marketing, communications and brand management. She is responsible for the planning and delivery of WMRR’s conferences, forums, networking events and other key industry events across Australia.
Working closely with members, industry stakeholders, speakers and partners, Justine plays an important role in creating engaging and valuable opportunities for the waste and resource recovery sector to connect, collaborate and share knowledge.

Claire Berry supports WMRR’s national training and events program, helping to deliver professional development and engagement opportunities for members across Australia.
Working closely with the WMRR team, members and industry stakeholders, Claire coordinates training initiatives and supports the delivery of conferences, forums and events across the Association’s national program. Her role helps ensure WMRR continues to provide valuable opportunities for members to build knowledge, develop skills and connect with others across the waste and resource recovery sector.
