How WMRR Works
The Association is governed by a Board of Directors, which provides strategic leadership and oversight of WMRR’s long-term direction, governance, and financial sustainability. The Board works closely with the CEO and National Office, who are responsible for delivering the Association’s day-to-day operations, member services, advocacy, events, and national initiatives.
WMRR’s State Branches represent members across Australia and are led by volunteer Branch Committees. Each Branch responds to regional priorities, delivers local events and professional development opportunities, and strengthens engagement between members, government, and industry.
Within each State Branch, Working Groups bring together professionals with shared technical expertise to collaborate on industry issues, exchange knowledge, and contribute to policy development and best practice. Working Groups vary between states to reflect local priorities and member interests.
Many Working Groups are supported by National Divisions, which provide leadership on key technical and industry issues across Australia. By connecting expertise from multiple State Branches, National Divisions help coordinate national initiatives, inform WMRR’s advocacy, and support the development of consistent policy and industry best practice
