The Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) in partnership with Green Industries SA will be hosting the first ever Buy Recycled Expo SA from 28-29 October 2020 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. With export markets diminishing and export bans just around the corner, the importance of growing strong local markets for products made from recycled materials such as plastics, paper and cardboard, glass, scrap metals, textiles and tyres, is now greater than ever. One of the current challenges facing councils and organisations who procure materials is understanding what’s already available in the Australian market. The expo will bring together those that are already creating quality goods containing recycled content with those in government and industry that are wanting to understand what’s currently available, as well as possible alternatives to procuring existing natural material products. The expo is a unique opportunity for procurement professionals, project managers, engineers and re-manufactures to see first-hand the products on show, and discuss how they meet specifications.
