Nominations are now open for the 2019 Waste and Resource Recovery (WARR) Awards, brought to you by the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) and Inside Waste magazine.

"We saw numerous outstanding finalists last year and expect this year to be bigger and better," WMRR CEO, Ms Gayle Sloan, said. 

“The 2019 WARR awards will capture and recognise excellent, contemporary, and leading-edge activities, operations, and personalities in the sector, spread across 10 categories that include outstanding WARR projects and facilities, innovation that has led to a demonstrable circular economy, leader of the year and, building on WMRR’s successful Women of Waste event, the inaugural Woman of Waste award.”

Selection Process

Independent panels of judges will convene in WMRR-facilitated sessions to choose winners from the shortlists. Finalists will be announced on 28 October 2019 and the winners will be announced at the WARR Awards and Gala Dinner on Thursday, 14 November 2019. The winners will also be published in Inside Waste magazine. 

Awards Presentation

The Awards will be presented to the annual WARR Awards and Gala Dinner, hosted by WMRR and Inside Waste at Sydney's Maritime Museum on Thursday, 14 November 2019.
