Amanda refers to herself as a social media nerd who is passionate about waste diversion and the power of communities. As Customer Engagement Coordinator at social enterprise Resource Recovery Australia Amanda works with communities and councils across Australia. She is responsible for identifying business and community development opportunities for the vast range of RRA’s waste diversion and reuse shop solutions.

Andrea Baldwin

Team Leader Resource Recovery, Albury City Council

Andrea has been leading change in waste management for over 14 years. She drives Albury City's strategic environmental outcomes with a hands-on operational focus and oversees the long-term direction for Albury's waste strategies and operational management of the Albury Waste Management Centre. Andrea also manages the Halve Waste Education program that provides waste information to the regional community and implements local recycling initiatives.

Jess Sevil

Resource Recovery Coordinator, Albury City Council

Jessica has worked for Albury City Council’s Resource Recovery team for 2 years in the role of Resource Recovery Customer Service Coordinator. Her role is to manage weighbridge software and data management systems, support the implementation of new systems onsite and public arena while actively communicating with the Albury community through various mediums. Relatively new to the waste industry, Jessica thoroughly enjoys working within the Albury Resource Recovery team who are continually implementing waste initiatives that reduce waste to landfill.

Mark Jonker

Director, Helmont Energy

Mark has 20 years of experience developing bioenergy and power projects. Mark has held numerous executive positions at EDL and most recently was responsible for global growth and the commercialisation of new renewable energy technologies. Prior to EDL, Mark was involved in developing natural pipelines in Australia with Duke Energy. He has extensive experience as a business and project developer and has also project managed renewable and remote power projects in Australia, North America, the UK and Europe. After becoming familiar with international bioenergy markets and technologies, Mark identified an untapped bioenergy resource in Australia. The attributes of bioenergy allow it to store renewable energy, decarbonise natural gas systems and substitute fossil fuel supply with renewable alternatives. Mark’s vision is to unlock this resource so that it can fulfil its important role in helping Australia move toward clean energy and a circular economy. Helmont Energy was founded on this vision.

Isabel Axio

Senior Consultant, RMCG

Isabel's expertise include resource recovery, circular organics and carbon management for agriculture, businesses and different levels of government. Isabel’s focus includes organic and primary industry material management through whole system design and policy considerations and development to considering avoidance and circular recovery solutions at all scales. Due to her hands on experience with waste and resource recovery she advocates for realistic place-based solutions. She is a trained environmental manager whose effective interdisciplinary work ties together climate change, waste management and natural resource management to the agricultural processes and regional landscapes she lives in and is passionate about.

Dr Anne-Maree Boland

Principal, RMCG

Anne-Maree has extensive experience in dealing with natural resource and water management in agricultural industries. This has included research, development and consulting in the areas of sustainable management practices and the development and implementation of RD&E programs. Anne-Maree has been a Non-Executive Director for GWRDC, is a Churchill Fellow and recipient of the University of Melbourne Chancellors Prize.
