John Niarchos

CEO, CAWRA

John Niarchos is the CEO of the Central Adelaide Waste and Recycling Authority (CAWRA), a role he took up in early July of 2022.

John’s has both commercial and operational experience, including as Infrabuild’s State Manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory, and previous positions at both Adelaide Brighton Cement, SA Premium Cement and Concrete and Detmold Packaging.

These previous roles provide John with unique insights into how the waste sector can interact with manufacturing in South Australia, to grow the Circular Economy.

Dr Philip Roetman

Coordinator Environmental Sustainability, City of Burnside

Philip is Coordinator of Environmental Sustainability at the City of Burnside where he develops and implements initiatives to improve the environmental sustainability of the organisation and community, in line with the council’s strategic plans. Philip is also an Adjunct Research Fellow at UniSA, where he has conducted research about sustainability, citizen science, education, policy development and behaviour change.

Industry Manager, ecologiQ (virtual)

Duy leads the industry development stream for ecologiQ, and his passion for sustainability, the environment and business development is what drives him to guide industry to the forefront of greener infrastructure. With a successful background in impactful social inclusion and business development across private and public sector, Duy brings innovative thinking, energy and action to push Victoria’s infrastructure boom towards a circular economy.
