Cate joined the EPA as a Principal Policy Officer within the Circular Economy and Waste Branch in June and is managing the review of the Environment Protection (Waste to Resource) Policy 2010.  With a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies, and 17 years’ experience working on policy and legislation in the South Australian Parliament, Cate has a keen interest in improving our laws to better meet the needs of our people, environment and economy.

Michael Richardson

Michael is a Director of Town Planning Consultancy MasterPlan with extensive experience in gaining the complex regulatory approvals required in the waste, recycling and circular economy fields. Michael has worked on projects across Australia including large and small landfills, reprocessing facilities, hazardous waste, container deposit schemes and waste transfer stations.

Mac Irvine

Mac is the Head of Industrials at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. He specialises in corporate and project financing in the manufacturing, waste, recycling, bioenergy, and circular economy sectors. Mac has extensive experience in corporate and project financing, deal structuring, strategy and execution both domestically and internationally across a variety of sectors, including infrastructure, renewable energy, power and utilities and property. Prior to joining CEFC, he held investment banking and financial advisory roles at Barclays and KPMG in the UK. Mac has a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Queensland.
