Emma Atkins is a Senior Program Officer working within the Department of Environment and Science's Waste Partnerships team. She has over 25 years waste and environmental industry experience working for local and state governments and private industry. She uses her operational knowledge to develop innovative yet practical and holistic solutions and enjoys sharing knowledge and experience.

Tracey Gray

(Acting) Illegal Dumping Coordinator, Fraser Coast Regional Council

Tracey commenced with Council in 2017 in Customer Service.  Shortly after, Tracey joined the Waste Team.  Tracey has been the (Acting) Illegal Dumping Coordinator operating under the Department of Environment and Science Illegal Dumping Partnership Program.  She has a Bachelor of Accounting with Distinction from Central Queensland University. 

Victoria McKay

Senior Technical Officer (Environment), Bundaberg Regional Council

Victoria is a chartered organic chemist having previously worked in medical research groups across Australia, New Zealand, and the US. After settling back in Australia, Victoria joined Bundaberg Regional Council’s Waste & Recycling Team 2½ years ago with a focus on the development and implementation of innovative solutions for environmental compliance and management programs.

Ashley Chiam

Engineer, ATC Williams

Ashley is an Environmental Engineer with ATC Williams in their Brisbane office.  Since graduating she has played a key role in the design of new landfill cells in Bundaberg and Warwick and closure of existing landfills in the southern downs, Toowoomba and Maranoa Regional Council. Ashley has also completed options assessment studies for new waste facilities in the greater south east Queensland area. She provides some useful insights and feedback to future landfill design projects based on her recent role as CQA engineer for the new Cell construction at Warwick.
