Jo leads a team of professionals within the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) who provide policy advice, regulate and deliver a range of projects and programs to support a circular economy, our natural values and threatened species.
Jo returned to Tasmania in 2018 after ten years’ working in private enterprise in Japan and South East Asia and is a passionate advocate of the state, sustainable business and a circular economy. She has a Bachelor of Science with Honours as well as post graduate qualifications in Management. She has held roles leading the Agriculture and Water Division of NRE Tas and in her early career held technical roles in food processing, as well as leading strategic planning, economic development and commercialisation activities in industry and government.
