BRUCE NAPIER

Section Head, Waste Levy and Data
Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE)

Bruce Napier leads the Waste Levy and Data team within the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania. This team is responsible for implementing the system to support the landfill levy, and collect waste data from waste facilities around the state. Bruce’s technical background is environmental science and hydrogeology and he has had over 20 years experience in consulting prior to joining EPA in 2016. Bruce has contributed to the Waste and Resource Recovery legislation and, with his team, is now running a series of projects to upgrade and improve the data reporting system..
