WES FORD

Director, EPA Tasmania

Wes Ford was appointed Director of the Environment Protection Authority and the Deputy Secretary of EPA Tasmania in May 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tasmania and Graduate Certificates in Fisheries Management and Public Sector Management. He has worked in government for more than 30 years, commencing his career in fisheries research, then moving into management and regulation of aquaculture, fisheries and water resources. Wes also plays key role in emergency management in his capacity as State Marine Pollution Controller for the State.

 

MARK BIDDULPH

Head of Corporate Affairs, Cleanaway

Mark joined Cleanaway in January 2020 as Head of Corporate Affairs. The role includes management of media, policy development and government relations.

Mark has previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, and Chief of Staff to various Queensland Ministers. 

As Deputy Chief of Staff (Policy) to the Premier of Queensland, his role involved close liaison with members of Cabinet and Parliament, Directors-General and Chiefs of Staff about policy development, legislative reforms and parliamentary tactics and strategy. 

Mark has an excellent track record of establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with government officials, the private sector, peak bodies and key community-based organisations. Through his involvement at ministerial forums, he has developed a strong network of key stakeholders across the nation. This includes advisors across the political spectrum and senior government officials from other States and Territories.

CLINTON HABNER

Strategic Business Development Manager, Tyrecycle

Having commenced with the ResourceCo Group in 2015, primarily developing strategic business opportunities, Clinton has been focussed on resource recovery and product development within Tyrecycle in his role as National Sales Manager. Along with commercialising sustainable solutions with beneficial environmental outcomes from tyre and rubber derived waste Clinton is responsible for the relationships with customers of both the collection service and the product manufactured by Tyrecycle.

MICHAEL ATTARD

Team Leader Sustainability, Infrastructure & Assets Network, City of Launceston

Michael is an experienced waste and resource recovery professional who was appointed to his current role of Team Leader Sustainability at the City of Launceston in 2016. In this role he’s responsible for the management of the Council’s transfer stations, landfills & leachate, kerbside collection services, resource recovery, recycling MRF contracts, community engagement programs, reporting, and the implementation of Tasmania's first kerbside FOGO collection service and organics facility.

Michael is also a representative of the Northern Tasmania Waste Management Group (NTWMG), a collection of 7 councils in Northern Tasmania operating under a voluntary landfill levy to provide resource recovery advice, funding, communications, education and advocacy for individuals, community groups, organisations, and local government. 

Michael has passion for organics and e-waste recovery.
