Dr Andrew Curtis is Principal Associate – Waste to Energy with Dartmouth Consulting and a subject matter expert in development and delivery of waste to energy and power generation projects. He has primarily worked in Australia and also spent 7 years working in industry in Japan. He received his Ph.D from Kyoto University in Energy Science. As an Australian engineer having led the development and construction of waste to energy and biomass power plants in Japan and Korea he brings a unique perspective to this nascent sector in Australia.

Dr Matthias Johnsen 

Technical Director of Fichtner Group

Dr. Matthias Johnsen is the Technical Director of Fichtner’s Kuala Lumpur office, where he oversees projects throughout the APEC region. His professional experience spans more than 30 years and includes waste-to-energy projects in Australia and numerous other countries, working as technical advisor, Owner’s engineer and EPC engineer. Prior to this he was a process engineer at L&C Steinmüller GmbH. He holds a Master’s degree from RWTH Aachen, Germany, and a Master of Engineering as well as a Ph.D. from Dartmouth College, USA.

Omar Khan has been a member of the Fichtner Group since 2016 and is currently serving as a Senior Project Engineer. He began his career at the Stuttgart head office, followed by several years of experience with Fichtner Malaysia, and is now bringing his expertise to the Fichtner Australia team. Over the course of his tenure, Omar has contributed to projects across various countries, including Australia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Malaysia, Pakistan, Laos, Iraq, and Vietnam. His areas of specialization include Waste-to-Energy and Renewable Energy projects.
