Nick Entsch

Associate Director, Macquarie Capital

Nick has more than 7 years with Macquarie Capital and over 20 years’ experience as an infrastructure investor, financier, developer, asset manager and engineer. He’s Macquarie Capital’s lead in circular economy and waste to energy, including the development of the Western Sydney Energy and Resource Recovery Centre (WSERRC).

Nick led the Macquarie team on Kwinana Waste to Energy project, Australia’s first thermal waste-to-energy project involving the development of a 400kt p.a. waste to energy facility in Kwinana, Western Australia. Macquarie Capital is the co-sponsor, developer, equity investor, financial adviser and asset manager for the project.

Phil Woods

Strategic Planning Manager – Resource Recovery and Circular Economy, Sydney Water

Phil’s role as Strategic Planning Manager Circular Economy and Resource Recovery is to develop the strategies and programs that will help make Sydney Water an international leader in resource recovery.

Phil led the development of Sydney Water's recent Carbon Zero Plan, which sets the company’s vision and goals to 2030 and beyond. He has a particular interest in unlocking Sydney Water’s capabilities and capacity to turn food waste into valued resources.

Phil has been with Sydney Water for 15 years and holds degrees in Mathematics and Environmental Management.
