Technology Director Ole Hedegaard Madsen, CTO, has more than 25 years of experience in the Waste to Energy sector working as a senior manager for Babcock & Wilcox Vølund.
Formerly, he worked 7 years in the Danish natural gas sector for Ørsted as manager for the combustion department. He started his career as research assistant and project manager at the Technical University of Denmark. Including a science exchange program at Sandia National Laboratories, California, USA.
Today, in Babcock & Wilcox Renewables Ole is responsible for.
- WtE power plant design and process optimization
- Technical Proposals concept development for new WtE plants
- Engineering for WtE systems
- Technology management and R&D for WtE systems
He has a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Energy and Combustion) from the Technical University of Denmark. He has been studying Management & Organization, Business Marketing English at Copenhagen Business School.
During the years, he has presented more than 50 publications and conference articles.
He is a member of ISWA, The International Solid Waste Association, Working Group on Energy Recovery, WGER.
He is a member of The Danish Society of Engineers; Fuel and Power Engineering Society.
He is a member of the board in DI Bioenergy in the Confederation of Danish Industry, DI.
He is chairman for the Public Relations Committee working groups in ESWET - European Suppliers of Waste-to-Energy Technology.
