Ben leads a diverse portfolio at King including Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering and Research and Development, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across Supply Chain, Product Management and Operations to the family owned Australian furniture icon.
King is known throughout the industry and beyond as having longevity, durability and sustainable design built into its core values and reason for being, and why their designs and products stand the test of time, to be handed down to future generations.
Before joining King, Ben led the Australian operations at Fisher & Paykel and Haier, and prior to this spent time in Europe after almost a decade in the Australian timber and wood products industry with Carter Holt Harvey, Weyerhaeuser and Australian Panels (Borg) where circularity, renewable materials, resource stewardship, and sustainable Australian manufacturing were deeply embedded in the operating model.
Ben completed postgraduate studies at Frankfurt School of Finance in Germany and the IDC in Herzliya, Israel, developing a strong interest in sustainability, innovation, and systems thinking.
He is deeply passionate about advancing development in circular and renewable manufacturing, stewardship in product and design longevity and repairability, resource efficiency and responsible and sustainable sourcing as practical drivers of long term value creation.
