WA EP Act Forum
In October, the WA government released a discussion paper outlining its plans to modernise environmental protection legislation. To ensure that the waste and resource recovery industry is prepared for the forthcoming changes, the WA Branch of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) is hosting an EP Act Forum on Wednesday, 4 December 2019 at Norton Rose Fulbright in Perth.

Sarah has worked as a senior environmental manager for the state government for more than 25 years in five different agencies. She has played an integral role in managing the state’s responses to climate change, waste management, environmental offsets and native vegetation management. In January 2018, the department awarded Sarah an Australia Day Achievement Medallion as part of an Australia-wide recognition of the contribution of public servants to the nation

Rebecca Hoare possesses 20 years’ legal experience and is Norton Rose Fulbright Australia’s head of environment and planning. Rebecca practises in Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory, advising clients on environmental, planning, climate change, carbon farming and carbon pricing, native title, and Aboriginal cultural heritage law.
Rebecca has been recognised by peers in Best Lawyers for planning and environment law, climate change law, mining law, as well as land use and zoning law. She is ranked in the Chambers Asia Pacific Guide as a leading lawyer for environment, and has for the last two years been part of the national team recognised as Best Lawyers’ Team of the Year for Environment and Planning.
