Michelle Jones is Principal Policy Officer (Regulatory Reform Projects) with the South Australian Environment Protection Authority (EPA). She is currently responsible for reviewing legislation under the Environment Protection Act 1993 related to how the solid waste levy is collected at landfills to ensure it is driving effective resource recovery outcomes.

Michelle has worked at the EPA for 10 years in the area of legislation and policy development, and in the coordination of Cabinet and Ministerial advice on a range of EPA issues.

Michelle holds a Master of Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Adelaide having completed her dissertation on policy options to reduce plastic marine debris in South Australia.
