Senior Project Scientist, Melbourne Water

Part of the Innovation and Partnerships team in Treatment and Resources group in Integrated Planning, Bill worked on creating the initial ‘Waste to Resources’ plan. Project managing the, co-digestion trial at the Western Treatment Plant and the reuse of geotechnical biosolids from the Eastern Treatment Plant. Project managing trials of new technology for resource recovery.

Before joining Melbourne Water 7 years ago Bill operated SCARAB Solutions a sustainability consultancy for 13 years. During 2008-2012 was an elected City Councillor and Mayor of the City of Whitehorse a representative on the then Metropolitan Waste Management Group Forum and was the Chair for two years.

Bill has a Bachelor of Applied science degree majoring in biotechnology from RMIT and has worked on a variety of production facilities from CIP systems and filtration of proteins to large scale fermentation of food products.
