Workshops

We promised you a diverse, high quality program and our two workshops certainly deliver on that promise.  Read on for a taste of what to expect from each.  The full workshop programs will be released early March.

WORKSHOP A
Advances in Landfill Design and Construction with Geosynthetics

Workshop A will present an overview of key landfill design objectives and the challenges faced during the construction of landfill cells, with a particular focus on the construction quality assurance issues.

The objectives of this workshop are to:
- Provide an overview of landfill design objectives from local and international experts.
- Consider key challenges in the construction quality assurance process that affect construction schedule and project cost.
- Review geosynthetic testing methods and suggest approaches to address or combat failures.
- Hear from local and international experts about developments in geosynthetics.
- Share recent experiences from practitioners (suppliers, contractors, designers and landfill owners).
