Tanya Allen has worked in local government for 14 years. Tanya joined Cooloola Shire Council/Gympie Regional Council as an Environmental Health Officer (2006 to 2014), working in a compliance capacity on local public health, environmental and waste management matters, before transitioning to a technical role in waste management (2014 to 2019). Tanya spent much of 2017 implementing the region’s waste management strategy in additional to contract management, environmental compliance and coordinating operations. Tanya Allen obtained her bachelor degree from Western Sydney University, and specific interests include land and water contaminants. Memberships in WMRR, AIH, ALGA.
