Biography
Mal has an engineering career spanning over 35 years in waste management, environmental and general civil projects working in both the public and private sectors. Mal previously managed the investigation, design and remediation of Brisbane City Council’s landfills. Since 1997, Mal has been involved in research and development of alternative cover systems suitable for contaminated sites and mine tailings. On behalf of the WMAA (now WMRR)  he chaired the $4.25million ARC/industry funded Australian Alternative Capping Assessment Program study from 2006-2011.

Mal currently leads a team of 12 waste professionals in ATC Williams providing a full suite of waste management consulting services.
